Student Robert C. Erwin Literary Awards
The Awards Committee created the ACOS-MSS category of the Robert C. Erwin Literary Awards to recognize excellence in surgical research from outstanding medical students. This year, 2023, is the innaugural year of the Student Category of the Erwin Award! The same guidelines that apply to the resident awards, also apply to the student awards. Selected winners in the Student Group and in the Resident Group, will be recognized in their respective categories, at the ACOS Annual Clinical Assembly.
Robert C. Erwin Literary Awards are presented annually to ACOS resident members who have authored outstanding scientific manuscripts. Through a generous grant from the ACOS Trust Fund, award recipients will be presented with a plaque and a cash award for first ($1,500), second ($1,000), third ($750), fourth ($500) or fifth place ($250). Papers must be received by the ACOS no later than June 1.
