Take Action Now!

ACOS is just one organization, however it is made up of thousands of members, each with a voice. The Take Action Now! allows members to engage with their members of Congress. Each ACOS member is an advocate and you can make a difference. The following sections allow the College to and its members to engage Congress and decision makers to make a difference for osteopathic surgery and your patients. 

Grassroots Osteopathic Advocacy Link (GOAL)

The Grassroots Osteopathic Advocacy Link (GOAL) is the AOA’s grassroots advocacy platform which furthers the discussion with policy makers by providing tools you can use to educate policymakers about DOs and help shape the future of health care. DO Day on Capitol Hill

DO Day on Capitol Hill is an opportunity for ACOS members to join fellow DOs and osteopathic medical students to come to Washington, D.C. and use their time to educate members of Congress and their staff on who DOs are and why osteopathic medicine is so important

Participation in this event is important to the College. The time you take off from your practice demonstrates your dedication to advocating for osteopathic surgery and your patients well-being. DO Day on Capitol Hill is a prime opportunity to educate members of Congress and their staff about osteopathic medicine and communicate the College’s positions on important health policy issues.
