Dr. Baltazar recently penned an article titled "Stronger Together: Surgery and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment." This article was recently featured in the Specialty Spotlight section of the summer edition of "On Call: The Newsletter of the Alliance of Specialty Medicine."

Dr. Baltazar educates the broader medical community about the important benefits of Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) following surgery, citing evidence that OMT in the perioperative period may effect positive changes in outcomes. Following patients after gynecologic and orthopedic surgery, OMT was found to improve postoperative pain.
