ACOS remains committed in our mission of promoting excellence in osteopathic surgical care through education. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus), congregating in-person was not possible so the 2020 IDR has been converted to a virtual, on-demand format. All registrants are provided with information on how to access the course materials via the ACOS eLearning Portal. Register today to advantage of this eLearning experience from the comfort and safety of your home, office, or anywhere you choose to study.

The ACOS 2020 General Surgery In-Depth Review Seminar (IDR), is now available for online learning.

2020 IDR Program Chairs, Jessica L. Bartock, D.O., and Annika C. Storey, D.O., with the support of the In-Depth Review Committee, are diligently working on this year's content in an effort to once again deliver a top-notch, comprehensive educational program.

The IDR is our annual board review course. This customized ACOS Seminar is designed to provide the general surgeon with an in-depth review on topics found on certifications exams. Past participants have found it to be a helpful experience in preparing for certification or re-certification examinations**. In addition, attendees not preparing for board certification or re-certification may earn valuable CME credit. The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. Eligible attending physicians can earn American Osteopathic Association continuing medical education (CME) credit by participating in the educational programs and activities at the 2020 General Surgery In-depth Review Seminar. ACOS estimates that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education will approve this program for a maximum of 29.00 AOA Category 1-A CME credit hours.

Mock Oral Boards Workshop (canceled until further notice):
As noted above, this year's IDR will take place virtually due to COVID-19 pandemic. ACOS recognizes that the Mock Oral Boards workshop is a key component for some attending the annual IDR, and we are working to find a solution that will enable us to hold this workshop in a safe environment. We appreciate your patience as we work through the changing dynamics associated with COVID-19. The health and safety of our members, staff, attendees, and speakers is our number one priority.

**ACOS will not guarantee results on any certification or recertification exams

"I would like to thank the college for offering this recent well-structured In Depth Review for the recertification exam. Hopefully, this will be offered more frequently as it is a good comprehensive coverage of major topics. Glad to say I passed my exam on first attempt. Kudos to the ACOS IDR committee for a job well done!"
--Robert Edwards, D.O. Attendee, 2018 ACOS General Surgery In-Depth Review
