Since 1927, ACOS has been the professional home of the osteopathic surgeon — a place where the specialty advances, credentials are earned and honored, and each generation of surgeons passes something forward to the next. That continuity begins with membership. It begins with you.

Your College is built to meet you where you are — whether you are beginning your surgical career or decades into it. Select the category that reflects your current status.
The core of the ACOS community. Member physicians are the surgeons who show up at Conclave, serve on committees, and carry the designation that tells the profession where they stand. If you have completed a surgical residency and hold an active license, your place is here.

ACOS extends beyond U.S. borders. International membership connects surgeons practicing outside the United States to the College’s peer-reviewed publications, educational resources, and surgical community.

The surgical team is more than the surgeon. Associate membership recognizes the advanced practice providers and allied health professionals whose work advances osteopathic surgical care — and connects them to the community built around it.

Residency is where the surgeon is made. ACOS Resident membership connects you to the specialty, to the surgeons ahead of you, and to the community that will define your career — so you can focus on what matters most right now: becoming the surgeon you were meant to be.

Before the credential. Before the residency. Before the career. The ACOS Medical Student Section connects you to the specialty — and to the surgeons already living it. Your College is ready when you are.

Your first-year dues are prorated based on the fiscal quarter in which you enroll. ACOS operates on a July 1 – June 30 fiscal year, divided into four quarters. Members who join after Q1 pay only for the quarters remaining in the current year. Full annual dues apply beginning with your first renewal on July 1.
Resident and Student memberships are not subject to prorated dues. Specific dues amounts by category and quarter are available on each membership category page, or by contacting Membership Services directly.
In 2027, ACOS marks a century as the professional home of the osteopathic surgeon. The members joining today are part of a Centennial-era class — a generation whose membership will carry this College into its next hundred years.
