ACOS Board Approves 2026–2028 Strategic Plan

The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS) Board of Governors has approved the College’s 2026–2028 Strategic Plan, establishing a clear roadmap for the future as ACOS approaches its Centennial Anniversary in 2027. Developed through a collaborative process involving volunteer leaders, physicians, students, residents, staff, and an external strategic planning consultant, the plan reflects a shared vision for strengthening the value, relevance, and impact of ACOS for current and future generations of osteopathic surgeons.

The strategic plan is centered on four key pillars: Strengthen & Grow Membership, Elevate Educational Programming, Achieve Organizational Excellence, and Cultivate Professional Relationships & Community. These priorities are supported by organization-wide initiatives focused on technology modernization, marketing and communications, revenue diversification, and reinforcing ACOS as the home of the osteopathic surgeon.

Implementation is already underway, with first-year priorities including launching a new membership recruitment campaign, expanding digital education opportunities, implementing a new Association Management System and website, strengthening residency engagement, and leveraging the Centennial Celebration as a catalyst for organizational growth.
